Regular Training Programmes

• Using Balanced Scorecard as a Strategic Management System: A Course for VTET Administrators; Brunei Darussalam 24 March – 12 April 2008; 17 Participants applied their knowledge and skills recently gained in their action plans that could be suitable in their institutions. A Half-Day Forum was also organised focusing on “developing and cascading the BSC: issues and challenges.”

• Integrating Learning Technology Interactivity within VTET Brunei Darussalam, 25 February – 8 March  2008; 18 Southeast Asian ICT administrators and lecturers have successfully produced interactive teaching-learning materials using moodle and netserver tools.

• “Writing Lesson Documents-Lesson Plan and Storyboard” Half-day Workshop: 28 February 2008, 8:30a.m. – 12:00 nn; Prof. Jiro Yoshio, Professor Emeritus of Tokyo Gakugei University, Japan shared and demonstrated meaningful courseware and documents, etc. to course participants and VTE and Secondary School Principals and Teachers in Brunei Darussalam.

In-Country Training Programmes

• Managing Change in VTET;  Lao PDR, 11-15 February 2008; 34 participants have gained knowledge and skills to become effective change leaders and how to implement successful change.

• Quantitative and Qualitative Research in VTET; Singapore, 28 January -1 February 2008; 23 lecturers enhanced research knowledge as they completed and reported on their research proposals.

Customised Training Programme

• The following Staff and personnel have been provided with valid and relevant lectures and hands-on exercises on the Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3) Course at the Centre.  All participants have in turn complied to the requirements and thus will be applying the knowledge and skills gained more proficiently in the MOE and Public Service Department workplaces.
